CITRUS COUNTY BIRDING TRAILS
- Oystercatcher Trail:
10 miles around the Withlacoochee Bay Spoil Islands (power boat trail).
- Withlacoochee Bay Trail:
5 mile trail from US 19 west at the barge canal. Observation points. Canoe/kayak landing at mile four (driving trail).
- Eco Walk Trail:
2.2 mile walking trail at Crystal River State Buffer Preserve.
- Crystal River Archaeological State Park:
21 acres, paved pathway, easy access.
- Crystal Cove Trail:
1.7 mile walking trail along canal at Crystal River Buffer Preserve.
- Kings Bay Trail:
Crystal River National Wildlife Refuge islands in Kings Bay (powerboat and canoe/kayak trail).
- Fort Island Trail:
9.5 miles from US 19 to the Gulf (driving & walking trail).
- Nature Coast Canoe Trail:
20 mile wilderness trail (five sectons) from the Crystal River to the Chassahowitzka River.
- Pepper Creek Trail:
2.2 mile walking trail at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park.
- Mason Creek Trail:
Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge canoe/kayak trail.
- Rook's Trail
2.7 mile wilderness walking trail (2 miles west of US 19 on Burnt Bridge Road.)
- Chassahowitzka River Trail:
Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge 4 mile canoe/kayak trail to Dog Island.
- Lake Rousseau and Inglis Island Trail:
3.9 mile wilderness walking trail at Inglis Lock and Dam (Riverwood Road).
- Eagle Snag Trail:
Driving trail at the Citrus County landfill (winter view of eagles, gulls and vultures).
- Withlacoochee State Forest

- Johnson Pond Trail at Two-Mile Prairie:
County Road 39 between US 41 and SR 200.
- Potts Preserve, Withlacoochee River Trail:
Located at the end of Turner Camp Road (CR 581) north of Inverness.
- Fort Cooper State Park:
Old Floral City Road in Inverness.
- Flying Eagle Preserve Loop Trail:
Wilderness walking trail (East on Eden Drive and Moccasin Slough to road's end).
