LEVY COUNTY BEACHES

Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge

The refuge consists of 13 islands in the Gulf of Mexico including Atsena Otie, Seashore, Snake and North Keys and is only accessible by boat.  Due to protection efforts of the National Wildlife Refuge System, not many facilities are available, although restrooms and a visitor's center are available.  The interior of all islands (except Atsena Otie Key) is closed to the public year-round.  Seahorse Key and a 300-foot zone around the island is closed to all public entry from March 1 to June 30 every year.
