KEY SCRUB STATE RESERVE

The Reserve is divided into two portions by CR 347 which runs between Cedar Key and Fowlers Bluff. Utilizing existing jeep trails the east portion totals about four miles while the west portion totals about eight miles.  Although primarily used for hiking they are also available for horseback riding.

GOETHE STATE FOREST

The Goethe Trail System runs throughout the forest and is accessible
from three separate trailheads:

Black Pring Trailhead
Off CR 337 near CR 326

Apex Trailhead
Off CR 337 south of SR 121

Tidewater Trailhead
Bottom of CR 337 before CR 336

NATURE COAST STATE TRAIL

This is a 31.7 mile paved trail shared with bicyclists, walkers, and horseback riders.  Winding through changing landscapes it connects Old Twon, Fanning Springs, Cross City, Chiefland, and Trenton.  The Chiefland trailhead is located at the Chiefland Railroad Depot just two blocks from downtown.  You may also access the trail from Andrews Wildlife Management Area.
