MARJORIE HARRIS CARR CROSS-FLORIDA GREENWAY

The Marjorie Harris Carr Greenway Trail System is a 110-mile corridor for multi-use recreational and conservation purposes.  There are two trailheads in Dunnellon.

The Pruitt Trailhead

16 miles of equestrian singletrack along with 3.5 miles of multi-use limerock road suitable for riding.
Trail 1:  6 miles through sandhill communities and oak hammocks.
Trail 2:  9 miles similar terrain but could include some section under water.
Trail 3:  Most challenging - digging sections.

Access Directions: 15430 SW Hwy 484, Dunnellon.  From i-75 take exit 350, west on SR 200 9 miles to CR 484, turn right and proceed for about 4 miles.

The Ross Prairie Section

6 miles of equestrian singletrack with 3 miles of multi-use limerock road suitable for riding.  Expect steep sandy hills from the ship canal diggings on both tracks. 
Trail 1: follows northern edge of the south berm in the digging
Trail 1:  follows the southern edge

Access Directions:  10660 SW Hwy 200, Dunnellon.  From I-75 take exit 350, west on SR 200 10 miles. Trailhead on left.

 

GOETHE STATE FOREST

The Goethe Trail System runs throughout the forest and is accessible
from three separate trailheads:

Black Pring Trailhead
Off CR 337 near CR 326

Apex Trailhead
Off CR 337 south of SR 121

Tidewater Trailhead
Bottom of CR 337 before CR 336
