What is
Florida's Nature Coast?
The geographical answer to this question is simple. It is the area from above Clearwater to the Ochlockonee Bay on the Gulf Coast of Florida. A proclamation of the Governor of Florida designated these eight counties (and one partial county) as the Nature Coast in 1993.
But more accurately it is a mecca of natural wonders and historic ramblings for outdoor enthusiasts and those wishing to enjoy the "unspoiled" Florida. With its scenic beauty, abundant wildlife (including many endangered species) and limitless recreational opportunity the Nature Coast adventure can last for days
or a lifetime.
