With Touch Tanks, Exhibits and an Aquarium this facility focuses on sea horses, hermit crabs, calico crabs, starfish and all the treasures of the sea. Funded by the marine biology supply division the varieties of invertebrates, fishes and algae are ever changing.

ST. MARKS LIGHTHOUSE
Located on the east side of the mouth of the St. Mark's River on the Apalachee Bay St. Marks Lighthouse is the second oldest light station in Florida and the only lighthouse in Florida with wooden stairs. Automated in 1960 it remains an active aid to navigation with a 2,000 candlepower flashing light visible for 15 miles. This light sits atop a white conical tower 82 feet above the water and 80 feet above the ground.
SAN MARCOS DE APALACHE
148 Old Fort Rd. (off SR 363) • St. Marks, FL
A marked trail through the historic fortification ruins and a visitor center containing exhibits and artifacts recount the history of the site where the first ships made by white men in the New World were built and launched. The final confrontation at the fort occurred in 1861 when the Confederates took the fort and renamed it Fort Ward.
Admission to Museum: $1.00/person; children 6 years and under free. No charge for park's grounds. Picnic area provided.
NATURAL BRIDGE
6 Miles East of Woodville, off State Road 363 (Leon County)
At the end of the Civil War, the Battle of Natural Bridge preserved Tallahassee as the only Confederate capitol east of the Mississippi River never to fall into Union hands and stopped the Union forces advancing on San Marcos de Apalache's fort.. This battle is re-enacted yearly in March.
Geographically it is an area where the water suddenly runs underground for a few feet and rises again, forming the natural bridge.
No entrance fee.
WAKULLA SPRINGS
Forming the Wakulla River and flowing at a rate of over 400,000 gallons per minute Wakulla Springs is one of the largest and deepest freshwater springs in the world. Several early Tarzan movies, The Creature from the Black Lagoon, Airport 77 and other movies were filmed on location here.
